Wow! Amazing animals! Amazing camps/lodges! Amazing guides, drivers and everyone else we met along the way! Every experience felt very authentic and not touristy. Can not recommend Safari Escapes highly enough! Our group of 5 adults spent 11 unforgettable nights in 4 different locations in Kenya. The animals were incredible, of course, but what seems to be unique about Safari Escapes is that they work with properties that are small, locally owned and very involved with their surrounding communities. We were able to tour two schools, and it was so impressive to see how important education is – especially for girls – in the rural areas. Those visits were some of the unexpected highlights of the trip! Our meals were fresh and delicious, and all the properties were able to prepare vegan options. I'd recommend staying at least 3 nights, if possible, at each lodge/camp, which is what we did. If you have any reservations about traveling to Africa, know that we felt very safe as we were escorted on our journey through Kenya!

Beyond our dreams

It's said that everyone should visit Africa at least once in their lives. They were not wrong. Safari Escapes organised every last detail for us, and our experience was beyond anything we could have hoped for. An extraordinarily wide variety of wildlife (lion, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala, buffalo, elephant, hippo, crocodile, tortoise, hyena, cheetah, baboons, monkeys…), comfortable accommodations with gorgeous views and wonderful staff, delicious local food, and genuinely knowledgeable guides. This is what sustainable tourism looks like, and we would encourage anyone considering an African safari to give Safari Escapes a call.

We recently returned from a 2 week safari in Kenya and Tanzania and can only describe it as absolutely incredible! Honeymoon Dreams Come True

We chose Safari Escapes for our honeymoon and it was the best decision we made. The attention to detail was incredible - from the romantic dinners under the stars to the private game drives. They arranged a hot air balloon safari over the Mara that will stay with us forever. Every lodge knew it was our honeymoon and had special touches waiting for us. Perfect Family Safari

Safari Escapes organised a perfect holiday in Kenya for our family of 5. They understood exactly what we were looking for from the moment we first spoke and was always on hand via WhatsApp to answer questions and make suggestions. We spent 2 nights at Ololo Lodge to start – what a beautiful place. From there we headed to Amboseli and then onto the Mara. Every property exceeded our expectations and the whole experience was seamless. Our kids (ages 8, 11, and 14) were engaged the entire time and still talk about the trip months later. The educational component about conservation really resonated with them.

As a solo traveler, I was initially nervous about doing a safari alone, but Safari Escapes made the experience incredibly comfortable and safe. They matched me with a small group for some activities which was wonderful for making new friends. The photography opportunities were incredible - our guide knew exactly where to position the vehicle for the best shots. The fact that every safari supports local schools and conservation efforts made me feel good about my travel choices. Highly recommend for solo travelers!

Retirement trip we'll never forget

For our retirement celebration, we wanted something truly special, and Safari Escapes delivered beyond our expectations. They were patient with all our questions and accommodated our dietary requirements and mobility considerations perfectly. The pace of the safari was just right – not rushed but always exciting. The variety of landscapes from Amboseli with Kilimanjaro views to the vast Mara plains was breathtaking. We've traveled extensively, but this was our best trip ever.
